Kirstie Alley will topline TV Land's 'Giant Baby'
This sounds about right: Kirstie Alley is set to star in a pilot for TV Land.
Titled "Giant Baby," the pilot focuses on a Broadway star who is reunited with the son she gave up for adoption 26 years later. The kid doesn't exactly fit with her glamorous lifestyle, but does he need changing or does she?
No. Seriously. We don't know.
The pilot was created by "Ugly Betty" veteran Marco Pennette. Alley will serve as executive producer on the project along with Pennette and Jason Weinberg.
"We’ve had our eye on Kirstie Alley for a long time, and we finally got her!" blurbs TV Land President Larry W. Jones. "With this project, our practice of working with A-list talent both on and off screen continues. Marco’s history working for top shows speaks for itself and Kirstie is an iconic TV comedienne. We can’t wait to get started."
An Emmy and Golden Globe winner for "Cheers," Alley is currently appearing on "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars."
