FOX snags a comedy pilot from the ubiquitous J.J. Abrams
FOX has given a put pilot commitment to "Adulting," a half-hour comedy from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production shingle.
The project is based on Kelly Williams Brown's upcoming book "Adulting: How To Become A Grown-Up In 387 Easy(ish) Steps," based on her blog. Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein will write the pilot and executive produce along with Abrams and Bryan Burk, according to Deadline.com.
So far this development season, Bad Robot has placed a drama from Alfonso Cuaron at NBC and a robot-cop drama at FOX. The comedy has "Fringe," "Revolution" and "Person of Interest" currently airing.
