Now Netflix reportedly has interest in 'The River'
Not content with stirring up rumors about Netflix acquiring shows that are actually cancelled, Deadline.com has moved on to linking Netflix to shows whose fates are in doubt.
The website reports that Netflix "has had conversations" with ABC Studios about "The River," which aired its finale this week and hasn't actually been cancelled. Deadline is quick to call the conversations "exploratory" and to emphasize that they're part of "a larger conversation between ABC Studios and Netflix."
The official ABC fate of "The River" won't be revealed until May, but after drawing a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 for its finale, hopes of network renewal are low.
Deadline's article implies that talks between 20th Century Fox TV and Netflix regarding "Terra Nova" are ongoing, though it has been weeks since there were any updates on the subject.
