'Grimm' gets a couple more scripts
Two weeks ago, NBC was hailing "Grimm" as a new Friday hit.
This week, NBC's enthusiasm extends exactly far enough to order two additional scripts for the Friday drama, according to Deadline.com. That's short of asking for additional episodes, much less a full back-nine.
And a full-season order seemed almost inevitable when "Grimm" premiered to strong 18-49 numbers airing opposite the World Series on Halloween weekend. "Grimm" followed up on that performance by winning its hour in the key demographic the following week, despite slipping. A second straight week of drops had "Grimm" in second place last Friday.
Still, "Grimm" is drawing better numbers than the cancelled "Playboy Club" and the shuttered "Prime Suspect" in a tougher slot, so NBC is showing patience.
