Another James Gandolfini project doesn't go forward at HBO
HBO really wants "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini back on the network, but they don't want him back on just any show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has decided not to go to series on "Criminal Justice," a legal thriller adapted from Peter Moffat's 2008 BBC series.
"Criminal Justice," which was going to follow a person charged with murder through the full legal process, was being written by Steve Zaillian and Richard Price with Zaillian directing.
HBO previously developed "Taxi-22" and "Big Dead Place" as potential starring vehicles for Gandolfini, but those didn't go to series either.
