Amber Heard joins Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete Kills'
Robert Rodriguez sure knows how to pick 'em.
From "Desperado" to "Sin City," the multi-hyphenate has packed his movies with beautiful women like Salma Hayek, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba and Carla Gugino, and the upcoming "Machete Kills" seems to be no exception
Variety reports that the lovely Amber Heard ("The Rum Diary," "Drive Angry") is set to join the mayhem of Rodriguez's upcoming sequel to the 2010 "Machete" that starred Danny Trejo as the blade-wielding title character and featured a variety of other stars.
Heard will join Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez ("Avatar") and recent Oscar nominee Demian Bichir ("A Better Life") in the film. Mel Gibson is also rumored to be in talks to join the cast.
Heard will soon be seen in "Syrup" with "Twilight" hunk Kellan Lutz. She's also set to star in "Motor City," which recently lost leading man Jake Gyllenhaal. Heard was one of the stars of NBC's ill-fated "The Playboy Club" last fall.
Rodriguez is also working on another sequel, "Sin City 2," which will feature returning cast members Mickey Rourke and Dawson, and has all sorts of big names (Hayek, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie among them) rumored to be circling the project.
