Superman and Wonder Woman are dating
They've been co-workers and pals for decades, but are Superman and Wonder Woman finally ready to be "more than friends?"
According to DC Comics' New 52, the answer is an emphatic yes.
As previewed on EW's site, the superheroes are becoming the ultimate power couple after a major event pushes them together in "Justice League" No. 12, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jim Lee.
It goes on sale August 29.
The two have flirted before in the past (they even locked lips in a 1989 issue of Action Comics), but such romantic interludes have usually taken place in the alternate reality story lines of the ElseWorlds universe; they've never actually been an item.
DC assures readers that the issue is not just a one-off encounter. "This is the new status quo," Johns told EW, implying that the hook-up will impact the entire DC universe.
Will Lois Lane be jealous? Will Batman and the other members of the Justice League tolerate an inter-office romance? How will the various villains react once they hear the news?
