'Southland' resurrects Chad Michael Murray
It was a terrific week to be a Chad Michael Murray fan.
Well, it was a terrific Wednesday to be a Chad Michael Murray fan.
The "One Tree Hill" star and The WB poster-boy has landed a recurring role on TNT's "Southland" playing Dave Mendoza -- Yes, "Mendoza" -- who TVLine.com describes as "a bit of a loose cannon."
The site correctly notes that this will pair Murray up with "Southland" star Ben McKenzie roughly a decade after both actors were up for the lead role in "The O.C.," a part that was offered to Murray, but went to McKenzie.
That same day, the Sundance Film Festival announced a competition slate featuring "Fruitvale," a drama that features Murray in a supporting role.
