Favorite 'Community' writer leaves for 'Modern Family'
Writer-producer Megan Ganz, one of the key creative ties between the old "Community" creative administration (Dan Harmon) and the new (Moses Port and David Guarascio) is taking a job on ABC's "Modern Family."
Ganz, who wrote two episodes for the upcoming fourth season of "Community" made the announcement on Reddit -- naturally -- earlier this week.
"Community" returns to NBC next month and will be very much in limbo for a possible fifth season and it may have to face that purely hypothetical fifth season without Ganz, Harmon and also without Chevy Chase, who nobody will particularly miss.
Because "Community" has already completed production on this upcoming season, you'll only notice Harmon's absence this spring. But stay tuned for more details as the season premieres and progresses.
