Amazon teases its 'Zombieland' TV pilot
Somewhat confusingly, Amazon.com announced this week that it had greenlit the pilot for a TV version of "Zombieland," even though the pilot was already deep enough into production for the site to also release the first image of the new cast.
Check out the TV versions of Tallahassee (Kirk Ward), Wichita (Maiara Walsh), Columbus (Tyler Ross) and Little Rock (Izabela Vidovic) above.
Based on the hit film, "Zombieland" was adapted by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and directed by Eli Craig of "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil."
The pilot is one of seven comedies and 13 total pilots that Amazon Studios will put up on Prime Instant Video. Customer feedback will determine which of the pilots is actually sent to series.
"'Zombieland' will strive to break the rules—action, adventure, thrills, chills and laughs and all packed into a half hour format," Wernick blurbs. "This is not your average show but Amazon is not your average network."
