'Tarzan,' 'Glee' stars join History's 'Vikings'

History continues to beef up the cast of its first scripted series, adding a slew of familiar faces to join topliner Gabriel Byrne, with Travis Fimmel landing what appears to be the key role.

The "Tarzan" and "The Beast" star will play Viking leader Ragnar, with Katheryn Winnick ("Bones") playing his wife and famous shield maiden Lagertha.

Bryrne was previously announced playing Earl Haraldson, a local rule in Ragnar's district.

"Glee" veteran Jessalyn Gilsig is newly added as Earl Haraldson's wife Siggy.

Also joining the cast are Gustaf Skarsgard and Clive Standen.

"Vikings" was created and written by "Tudors" scribe Michael Hirst.
