Ready for more Hit-Girl?

The foul-mouthed, pint-sized heroine was the breakout hit of the cult comic series "Kick-Ass" and its 2010 film adaptation, and she's finally getting her own comic title to star in. 

Played by Chloe Moretz ("Dark Shadows") in the movie version, Hit-Girl was trained from a young age by her vigilante father ("Big Daddy," played by Nicolas Cage in the film) to fight crime using brutal martial arts techniques, guns and lots of knives.

The upcoming mini-series -- from "Kick-Ass" creators Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. -- will take place between the first two series of "Kick-Ass" stories, which means Big Daddy will only be seen in flashback. In it, Hit-Girl will continue to secretly fight crime, with Kick-Ass at her side.

Moretz and Aaron Johnson (who played Kick-Ass) are in talks to return for a film sequel, which is based on the second series of "Kick-Ass."

The first issue of "Hit-Girl" hits stands on June 27.
