Joss Whedon has finished the outline for 'The Avengers 2'

Joss Whedon is a busy guy.

In addition to preparing his low-budget Shakespeare adaptation "Much Ado About Nothing" for release next year, and writing and directing the upcoming Marvel pilot "S.H.I.E.L.D.," he also has to start thinking about "the Avengers 2," which is scheduled to hit theaters May 1, 2015.

Turns out, Whedon has already completed the outline for the highly-anticipated sequel.

The writer-director recently sat down for an interview with EW, which they report took place "just days after he had submitted an outline for the 2015 sequel." Although he didn't give anything away, it seems to be common knowledge that the villainous Thanos (glimpsed at the end of the first film) will play a part, and that we can expect new team members to join the likes of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Speaking of the big green guy, Whedon also explained his personal connection to the Hulk. “What was most astonishing to me about making that movie was how personal it was,” he explained. “I literally had the 'I’m-always-angry' revelation during production. I had this certain amount of back-burner simmer of rage that I was completely aware of, but apparently I wrote it for Bruce Banner."
