Recently crowned the winner of FOX's "X Factor," Tate Stevens has been recruited to replace another FOX reality winner on the network's "New Year's Eve Live!" special.

Stevens joins previously announced performers Lifehouse and Carmen Electra on the special, which will air live from Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

The country singer, who topped teenage chanteuse Carly Rose Sonenclar in the "X Factor" finale last week, replaces "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, who was originally announced for the special.
