'The Daily Show' beats 'GMA' to first Robert Pattinson interview
For a brief moment, "Good Morning America" seemed to have scored the first post-KStew kerfuffle interview with Robert Pattinson, but Jon Stewart was all, "Not so fast."
On Monday, "GMA" revealed that Pattinson would be doing a live interview on August 15 to promote his new film "Cosmopolis." Then on Tuesday, HollywoodLife.com broke the news that Pattinson will appear on "The Daily Show" on August 13.
This will be Pattinson's first "Daily Show" interview since 2010 and it's unlikely that Stewart will dwell on the recent tabloid scandal involving the "Twilight" franchise stars.
Except both interviews to be watched with a curiosity that goes well beyond the typical David Cronenberg plug piece.
