Is the 'Gremlins' reboot finally moving forward?
Warner Bros. is looking to feed some mogwai after midnight in order to create another batch of "Gremlins."
The studio is negotiating with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, the 1984 original's executive producer, to reboot the legendary horror-comedy, Vulture reports.
The reboot has been rumored for some time now, but apparently reaching a deal with Spielberg has been difficult for the studio. Joe Dante directed the original film, and its 1990 sequel, but Spielberg's involvement may be a contractual obligation for any future installments in the franchise.
According to the report, an inside source says that negotiations may work out this time, meaning a new "Gremlins" could be heading to a theater near you.
