'Django Unchained's' Christoph Waltz to meet 'The Muppets' in sequel

Are the Muppets ready to meet Christoph Waltz?

The Oscar-winning Austrian actor is apparently in talks to play an Interpol agent in the upcoming sequel to 2011's "The Muppets," according to Variety's Marc Graser.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the sequel will definitely find Kermit, Piggy and the rest of the gang in Europe. James Bobin will once again write the screenplay, with Nicholas Stoller directing. "The Muppets" star and co-writer Jason Segel won't be involved in the sequel.

Waltz picked up a best supporting actor Oscar for his dazzling turn as a Nazi officer in Quentin Tarantino "Inglourious Basterds" and will soon be seen opposite Jamie Foxx in Tarantino's "Django Unchained."

He recently co-starred in Roman Polanski's "Carnage" with Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and John C. Reilly.
