CBS trims 'Vegas,' orders more 'Elementary'

CBS has slightly tweaked its orders for freshman dramas "Elementary" and "Vegas."

According to Deadline.com, the network has ordered two additional episodes of "Elementary," while cutting the full-season order for "Vegas" from 22 to 21.

Neither drama has been a breakout hit, but "Elementary" has been a regular time period winner on Thursdays at 10 p.m. and has been getting reliably large bumps from DVR figures, with CBS recently given the Sherlock Holmes adaptation the coveted time period after the Super Bowl. "Vegas," on the other hand, has struggled to hold onto its "NCIS: Los Angeles" lead-in and has begun regularly losing the key 18-49 demographic to NBC's "Parenthood."
