10 pressing 'Star Wars' questions we have after the J.J. Abrams announcement
Can Abrams get a credible performance out of Mark Hamill?
Unless there is a major change in strategy, it's an open secret that original trilogy stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will return in some form in "Star Wars: Episode VII." Abrams has been down this road before with Leonard Nimoy's supporting role in "Star Trek," but Nimoy's acting chops have never been questioned. Fisher and Ford should be fine, but over the past 25 years Hamill has become the poster child for self-parody when it comes to his most famous role. If Abrams can actually find a way to make Hamill a real actor again they might as well hand him the best director Oscar after the movie's premiere.
