Biggest Hit: The first two "Rush Hour" entries
Comeback Vehicle: "Silver Linings Playbook"
Will It Work?: One of the more baffling showbiz trajectories in recent memory has been that of Chris Tucker, who broke out in a big way with the one-two punch of "Rush Hour" and "Rush Hour 2" before seemingly disappearing off the face of the earth. So what happened? No one except Tucker and his inner circle really knows for sure, but with such a long lag time between films (he's starred in only two movies since "Rush Hour 2" was released in 2001) and a high-profile friendship with the famously troubled Michael Jackson, there is nevertheless no shortage of grist for the rumor mill. Given his notoriously-spotty output, Tucker's role in this fall's buzzy "Silver Linings Playbook" feels almost like an event. With a top-shelf director in David O. Russell and a cast of heavy-hitters including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro, it's also a seriously high-profile return for the talented comedian. The question is, does Tucker even care enough at this point to take advantage of the film's career-boosting potential?
