10 of the worst box office hits of all-time
$200 million plus doesn't mean its good
Pearl Harbor
Release date: May 25, 2001
U.S. box office: $198.5 million*
Why It's Bad: Before he started terrorizing Megan Fox and only making movies about giant robots, there was a brief moment when Michael Bay thought he could somehow catch Steven Spielberg-style lightning in a hyper-kinetically cut bottle. But "Pearl Harbor" wasn't really about that fateful day in 1941, so much as it was a love triangle between an underwritten Kate Beckinsale, a dead-eyed Josh Hartnett and a mouth-breathing Ben Affleck. Widely perceived as a box office disappointment when it was released, "Pearl Harbor" was still the seventh highest grossing film of 2001.

*Yes, we know it's not technically $200 million, but it's close enough.
