Anchorman: The Legend Continues

Anchorman: The Legend Continues

Potential talent: Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Christina Applegate
Why: How can you not celebrate the cinematic return of San Diego's number one news anchor, Ron Burgundy, without a stop by at San Diego's largest annual event? "Anchorman 2" will be in production this summer and if it uses San Diego as Burgundy's home base and exterior shots (though rumors have it the new movie will deal with the cast at a 24 hour news channel) it would be timely and easy for Ferrell and the gang to say hello. By all accounts, Ferrell had a great time appearing in costume for a "Megamind" panel two summers ago (moderated by HitFix's own Drew McWeeny). Paramount has hinted they won't have much at Comic-Con this year, but wouldn't Burgundy appearing at this San Diego stable be just as great a publicity stunt as his appearing on Conan to announce the new movie? Dare to dream.
Chances of happening: 25%
