10 most heart-stopping moments in 'Breaking Bad' history
6. Hank discovers that Walt is Heisenberg
Episode: Season 5, Episode 8 ("Gliding Over All")
It was the moment we'd all been waiting for from the very first season - Hank discovers his bookish, mild-mannered brother-in-law is in fact a murderous drug kingpin. And yet just because we expected it didn't make the moment any less breathtaking when it finally came, courtesy of a Gale-inscribed copy of "Leaves of Grass" left casually on the back of a toilet. What really sold the moment, though, was the pitch-perfect performance of Dean Norris, who made Hank's mortifying porcelain-throne epiphany register like a ton of bricks in a single, devastating close-up.
