10 most heart-stopping moments in 'Breaking Bad' history
8. Walt takes Holly
Episode: Season 5, Episode 15 ("Ozymandias")
If there's one thing "Breaking Bad" has taught us, it's that no one - literally no one - is safe from the unforgiving eye of Vince Gilligan's ruthless creative vision. Enter Holly White, the pink-bedecked innocent who serves as the most devastating potential casualty of all - the proverbial lamb at the center of a spiraling maelstrom of greed, corruption and moral bankruptcy. So when Walt decided to flee with the baby at the end of last Sunday's episode in a final desperate attempt to hold onto his family, my mind immediately went through all the terrible potential consequences of his action - including, of course, the most terrible and final. While Holly made it through the episode intact - a testament to whatever small shred of humanity remains in Walter White - the image of the baby's wide-eyed gaze through the truck window as her mother screams frantically on the other side is nevertheless a tough one to shake.
