10 most heart-stopping moments in 'Breaking Bad' history
10. Todd's uncle and his crew ambush and murder Hank and Gomez
Episode: Season 5, Episode 14 ("To'hajiilee")/Season 5, Episode 15 ("Ozymandias")
Didn't you just know it was all over for poor Hank the second he made that phone call to Marie? While the death of Walt's DEA-agent brother-in-law had felt inevitable for quite awhile now, knowing it was coming didn't make it any less heartbreaking when the time came. When all is said and done, the power of "Breaking Bad" lies in its slow and relentless depiction of an ordinary American family coming apart at the seams, and Hank's murder at the hands of the Neo Nazis - and Walt's futile attempts to save him - served as the final, devastating nail in the coffin of their undoing.
