10 'Justice League' members who deserve a shot on the big screen
How many do you recognize?
Aquaman
Pros: Thanks to the attention from DC's top writer Geoff Johns, he's currently one of DC's best selling comic books. His powers are more interesting and diverse on land than he's given credit for (oh, just superhuman strength, invulnerability to bullets and amazing leaping ability) . Johns has also turned him into something of a "take no prisoners" hard-ass which is what you should expect for the King of Atlantis. Aquaman was also one of the founding members of the League when they debuted way back in 1960.
Cons: Well, he's still Aquaman. And because Arthur Curry has been the butt of jokes for almost his entire comic book life he's not guaranteed to be in the "Justice League" at all. For instance, the idea of a James Cameron-directed "Aquaman" movie was a long-running plot point and joke on "Entourage." Johns has tried to dramatically change that in the new series (he's not the first), but the name Aquaman and his abilities may just be too silly for moviegoers to take seriously.
