Pros: A longtime fan favorite, Red Tornado has a power set not duplicated by any competing member of "The Avengers."  A robot, Tornado has the power to control wind and channel it into powerful cyclone blasts from his arms, is extremely fast and has superhuman strength.  He's also a DC character that has barely been mined outside of the comic books.  He would seem fresh and original to many casual super hero movie fans.

Cons: His origin is cumbersome and might take too long to explain or do, um, justice in a 2 1/2 hour movie. Additionally, Red Tornado is a very powerful hero in the DC universe.  If you assume Superman and Green Lantern are part of the League does adding Tornado make the team too powerful?  Who could really defeat them?
