Music lesson: Vermont's  well-traveled jamband has been selling out mega-sized venues for years, often playing multiple three-hour sets over a long weekend. Their epic shows have been documented officially and by fans the whole time, but their improvisational sound doesn't lend itself to the single-driven -- or even album-driven -- radio format so loved by the Grammys. Instead, their sole nomination came in the aesthetic department; they were nominated for Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package for their 7-DVD Boxed Set "The Clifford Ball" in 2009.
