Another incredibly ambitious episode that managed to simultaneously service a gimmick and the characters, as we saw a dinner party at Troy and Abed's apartment fracture into seven different timelines that gave us a chance to see how the study group behaves when you subtract any one individual member. At times insanely funny (the "darkest timeline" that occurs when it's Troy's turn to get the pizza), at others just honest and sweet (Troy and Britta's conversation in the bathroom) or joyous (the "Roxanne" singalong that finally happens when Jeff leaves the room). Season 3 was perhaps the show's most experimental season, and "Remedial Chaos Theory" was by far its most successful experiment.
