After the wrapping up the surprisingly resonant reboot of the long-dormant "Battlestar Galactica" property, Syfy (then known as SciFi) turned back the clock for the less breathless, but still endlessly watchable "Caprica." For the short-lived series, creators Ronald D. Moore and Remi Aubuchon stripped away the majority of "BSG's" SF trappings and ending up with a concept closer to a primetime soap than space opera. - DL
