"Andy and April's Fancy Party" (Season 3, episode 9)
The cold opening alone, with Ron pulling his own tooth during a meeting, is worth watching this one, but I'm extra-fond of any episode that puts Andy and April's relationship front and center. Ron and Chris clash over the definition of the word "cake," Ben struggles to decide if he's staying in Pawnee or if he's going to take a job somewhere else. Leslie can't make sense of the decision to get married so quickly, but watching her slowly make peace with it is a beautiful example of the way Leslie works. She has such strong opinions, but the thing that is always most important to her is the happiness of her friends. Even Leslie's worst moments are underlined by genuine concern. Also, bonus points to Ann Perkins and her almost crippling inability to flirt, and Donna's genuine horrified question to her. "Are you Nell? From the movie 'Nell'?" What starts silly ends up beautiful in this episode, and that seems like a pretty great description of the series as a whole.
