Played: "Bitch Hunter" host Shane Hunter in multiple episodes
Although "30 Rock" was rarely a show that ever aspired to restraint, the show definitely deserves credit for not over-playing the "Bitch Hunter" card. Seen only in fleeting clips and, most recently, in a giant pop-up chyron, "Bitch Hunter" was a Ben Silverman-produced action drama so repulsive to womens' groups that NBC had no choice but to pick up Liz Lemon's sketch show (and later to do a special Mother's Day episode). It appears to have largely involved Will Ferrell kicking down doors and calling people "bitch," both of which Ferrell did with aplomb. It's still amazing that "30 Rock" never did a full "Bitch Hunter" episode or at least a "Bitch Hunter"-centric episode. Many shows would have. Instead, Ferrell's appearances weren't even promoted.
