Winner: Anne Hathaway
See "Loser: James Franco." Anne Hathaway put in the effort. She sang. She danced. She changed costumes and looked fantastic almost every step of the way. She flirted with Kirk Douglas. She tried to flirt with James Franco. She attempted to connect with people in the audience. She did exactly what she's done multiple times now on "Saturday Night Live": She took lackluster writing and sold the heck out of it with her enthusiasm and her diverse skill-set. Seeing her often fail was sad, but at no point did you feel like Hathaway had phoned it in. Thus? Kudos.
