Bonus winner: Nobody wins the Necrology
You know that tacky moment each award show where they go through the people who died in the previous year and some people get loud applause and you wonder if the people in the audience think that their cheers will be heard in heaven and that if they similarly sit quietly for the people they hated, that'll make a point as well? Well, this year's "In Memoriam" Necrology featured Celine Dion singing "Smile" and zero audio from room. So we can assume that *probably* Tony Curtis and Dennis Hopper were among the "winners" of the Necrology, but we'll never know. And Oscar is probably classier as a result.
