Famous filmmakers have been recruited to come up with those expected montages
First, this year's show will rely much less on those edited montages -- which have gotten a bit stale -- but those that in the show will have some famous names behind them. One sequence will be directed by former Oscar nominee Bennett Miller. The "Capote" director will helm a segment featuring some of this year's nominated filmmakers (such as "Slumdog Millionaire's DGA Award winner Danny Boyle) talking about you -- the everyday moviegoer -- who has drifted away from Hollywood's biggest night. Now, whether they have anything interesting to say, is another matter entirely.
