Nora Ephron
Nora Ephron, the essayist, author and filmmaker who challenged and thrived in the male-dominated worlds of movies and journalism and was loved, respected and feared for her devastating and diverting wit, died of leukemia at age 71 on June 26. She wrote and directed a number of films, including "Sleepless In Seattle," "You've Got Mail," and "Julie and Julia."
