Iggy Pop, "Preliminaires" (EMI France)

The Godfather of Punk takes a bit of a left turn with "Préliminaires" (that's French for foreplay, y'all). The set is primarily score music inspired by the book "The Possibility of an Island," by French novelist Michel Houellebecq. Iggy also covers the French standard "Les Feuilles Mortes" and Antonio Carlos Jobim's bossa nova standard "How Insensitive."
