One of the ways you can tell 'Spring Breakers' truly hit the satirical target it aimed for is by watching how completely it has been rejected by the generation it perfectly captures. It is a brutally ugly movie wrapped in the brightest candy-colored cover possible, and while the cover might look like a fun James Franco spring break comedy, be warned that you are likely to kill older family members outright by the time they get to Franco fellating his own gun or the world's most surreal and oddly broken-hearted Britney Spears homage of all time. The deceptive marketing is part of the point, but don't get fooled into what would surely be an apocalyptic family viewing.
