Here are some of the things that will stick with us long after the season finale
Joffrey finally gets what's coming to him
Outside of Voldemort, there likely has't been a more hated character in pop culture this century than King Joffrey Baratheon. Jack Gleeson gave him as much three-dimensional shading as the material allowed, but over three seasons the punk-ass monarch hadn't inspired much viewer sympathy. He was evil with a capital "E." So, when Joffrey finally bit the dust at the end of "The Lion and the Rose" (and that was one poisoning where he didn't go quickly) it evoked relief as much as joy. Let's just hope these rumors of Gleeson retiring from acting aren't true. He's too talented to find himself recognized as just this character for the rest of his life.
