"Community" (NBC, Jan. 2)
Can returning creator Dan Harmon fix what went awry during his one-year absence? And, for fans who weren't crazy about the Harmon-run third season, can the college comedy recapture the lighter pleasures of the first two years? Harmon has said the goal is to first focus on making the characters human again, and he'll be working with a slightly different collection of characters. Chevy Chase is out, Donald Glover is leaving after only five episodes, and Jonathan Banks will be around for much of the season as a criminology professor who interacts a lot with the study group. Will it all be enough to make Six Seasons And A Movie a reality? Given the crazy state of NBC, anything's possible at this point.
