"Ghost Mine" (Syfy, Jan. 16)
Do you like ghosts? Great! How about gold mining? Even better! This weird little mash-up of two niche genres that seem to have little overlap could be fun or could be a disaster, but how can we look away in either case? Gold miners are invited to pick away in real mines that just happen to be haunted. The good news is that paranormal investigators will be on hand to, you know, wave around some sage and take pictures and generally get laughed at by the gold miners, who probably don't give a crap about ghosts. How can that not be a pleasure to watch?
