Lowdown: A 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' for fans of 8-bit video games, 'Wreck-It Ralph' tells the story of a video game bad guy who wants to be a good guy, who breaks out of his game and finds himself in search of just the right game, determined to find his place.
Drew McWeeny says: Out of all the films Disney presented at their D23 Expo in Anaheim last year, this is the one that came out of nowhere and sounded great. Or at least it sounds like something different. Reilly's character was made to be bad in his game, and is determined to buck his own fate. There's something existential about his journey in the film, and I always love it when we see family films reach for something.
