More than Medicine: Our favorite quirky medical shows

From 'Nip/Tuck' to 'House' to 'Northern Exposure' and more

The town that Buffy the vampire slayer lived in was said to be built on a Hellmouth, and we wouldn't be surprised if County General had a similar gateway to the underworld beneath its foundation. After all, at various points the place was menaced by smallpox, a benzene spill, a marauding tank, a falling helicopter that killed a doctor who had already lost an arm thanks to a different helicopter, visits by several armed gunmen (including one full-fledged shootout), and even a WMD scare. And don't even get us started about the number of employees who died gruesome and/or violent deaths in that joint.
