It was the centerpiece of his audition backstory and it was even the text of the original song that he sang at his final solo performance. Fortunately, he's not just an inspirational story. He can sing. The problem: We've heard a lot of Brett and while his story remains vivid, his voice doesn't. It's good, but not memorable, which may force him to rely on personality. He still seems like a safe bet to make the Finals.
