Patty Hewes, 'Damages'
Worst maternal traits: Patty Hewes was an awfully busy women who divided up her time between intimidating the hell out of Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) and kicking the ass of lowlife baddy Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson). Throw in her extracurriculars like homicide and traumatic childhood flashbacks, and you have a very occupied Glenn Close. But no one suffered like Patty's son Michael (Zachary Booth), who was both surprisingly rational and a little pathetic. Maybe he eloped with an older woman because his mother was such a hard-nosed, emotionally unavailable sorceress? Could be.
