Jackson 5, Everly Brothers, Kings of Leon, The National and more: How'd they fare?
The Beach Boys
Though they've gone through many line-up shifts over the last fifty-plus years, the long-running vocal group's original -- an most successful -- iteration was a family affair: Brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson were joined by cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Through years of hits, drugs, groupies, Charles Manson collaborations, nervous breakdowns, Sunkist commercials, death (Dennis passed away in 1983, Carl in '98) and even a "Full House" appearance, the Beach Boys have seen it all -- and stuck together through much (but certainly not all) of it. The future of the group -- with Brian Wilson and Love at its core -- is in question, but their legacy most certainly isn't.
