"Magna Carta Holy Grail"
Jay-Z isn't avoiding the traditional album release with his latest "Magna Carta Holy Grail"... he's just tweaking it a little. The latest album will go out to a million Samsung users on July 4, five days before regular retail release. The set -- which includes contributions from Nas, Frank Ocean, Beyonce, among others -- will be available through a free app. This threw a wrench into sales rules for both Billboard charts and the RIAA: he'll go platinum for sure through the latter, while he'll have to wait for digital and physical sales on July 9 to affect the former. Still, he's going to have a million listeners soon after the fireworks finish.
