Worst movie of their career: "The Tourist"
Will "Mortdecai' be even worse? I'll guess no. "The Tourist" is famous for being a movie that garnered a Golden Globe nomination for Best Picture even though it was largely derided. It's easy to call it bad, but let's enumerate the reasons it's a black mark on Depp's career: It attempts understated sophistication in the most grandiose, glitzy locations and comes up with a waste of time. It's basically the 2010 version of "The V.I.P.s," the old Burton/Taylor film about fancy people sitting in airport lounges and purring about international travel. "Mortdecai" is a self-conscious caper, but it gives Depp more of a chance to be funny.
