Lazaro, Angela, Curtis, Candice and and more discuss their 'Idol' futures
Lazaro Arbos of 'American Idol' interview
[I can't give Lazaro enough credit for working the red/blue carpet last week. As anybody who has watched "Idol" knows, Lazaro has an extreme stutter that vanishes magically when he performs. For over two hours, he walked up and down the carpet talking to anybody who needed a few minutes. His answers were brief and sometimes labored, but he was a real trooper. Kudos.]
On whether he's becoming more comfortable out there: "I think that the more we perform, the easier it can get."
On the transformation between pre-performance and actually singing: "Before I perform, I get really scared. I'm a hot mess. I think that as soon as I start to sing, I feel really comfortable."
On which of the judges is easiest to talk to: "I think that we all know them at the same level, so I think that they're fun to talk to, but I would say Randy."
On his ideal style: "I love slow songs, I love love songs. I love pop. I would love to do a mixture of pop and slow songs."
