Why: For the record, I'd throw my hat in for Josh Brolin before Bana, but we can only have one slide for each choice. Due to Ang Lee's already largely-forgotten "Hulk," Bana seems to have missed out on other choice superhero roles, and that's a shame because he can handle the rough stuff ("Chopper," "Blackhawk Down," "Hanna") as well as the brooding drama ("Munich," "The Other Boleyn Girl"). He's starred in plenty of movies, but even with key roles in big-budget films like as "Troy," "Hulk" and "Star Trek," Bana isn't associated with any one character, which would be advantageous if Warner Bros. is looking to create a new Dark Knight from the ground up while still using a recognizable name. At a young-looking 44, the debonair Aussie is just the right age for an "older" Bruce Wayne.
